Hill Climb Racing zooms past another milestone
Press release, December 17, 2024
2.5 billion downloads and counting
Fingersoft’s beloved Hill Climb Racing games have reached 2.5 billion installs across platforms, making it the world’s most downloaded racing game series. The evergreen mobile game family includes the smash hits Hill Climb Racing, Hill Climb Racing 2, and the new LEGOⓇ Hill Climb Adventures launched earlier this year.
Hill Climb Racing is a global phenomenon known for its cartoony style, simple gameplay, and smooth, fun physics. Since the original was launched in 2012, Fingersoft has constantly been developing the game, its sequel, and, subsequently, the franchise. Recently, Fingersoft announced an exclusive IP collaboration with Konami Digital Entertainment in the form of an in-game event with Super Bomberman R 2 in Hill Climb Racing 2.
“With over 2.5 billion installs, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to our passionate players around the world. Every download, every moment spent with our games is a testament to the joy we strive to bring to you all. Your feedback and support inspire us daily, driving us to create a work environment where creativity and well-being thrive. Our success is not just measured in numbers but in the strength and vibrancy of our community, and our dedicated team working to make each experience better than the last. Together, we are not just making games; we’re creating moments of happiness and connection. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for being a part of this journey. We look forward to what lies ahead,” says Jaakko Kylmäoja, CEO of Fingersoft.
Fingersoft’s Hill Climb Racing games are played by over 50 million people every month. Founded in 2012 in Oulu, Finland, Fingersoft has grown into one of the most prominent and recognized names in the racing genre of mobile games. It has also established itself as one of Finland’s leading game developers. Today, the company employs close to 100 people from around the globe.
