Partnership with Empires Not Vampires

something new for BOTH Hill Climb Racing fans and developers to enjoy

Press release, November 30, 2020

A culture of sharing is typical within the Finnish games industry. The latest example of this is the partnership between Fingersoft and Empires Not Vampires. The two studios have been developing an all-new game from scratch together.

Coming across an interesting game idea from Empires Not Vampires, Fingersoft wanted to see what could be achieved together. Fingersoft’s Hill Climb Racing games have reached more than 1.5 Billion downloads globally, which means the company has a big fan base to cater new experiences to. Empires Not Vampires is the creator of the Tropic Empire mobile game and has excelled in idle games development.

“The greatest thing about this cooperation has been playing with both companies’ strengths. Such tight cooperation has generated something really special,” says Harri Karppinen, CEO at Empires Not Vampires.

Launched globally last week, the new Garage Empire game is a rare combination of idle tycoon and racing genres, which are familiar from Fingersoft and Empires Not Vampires’ previous games.

Fingersoft steps it up a gear

Fingersoft is the Finnish game studio behind the hit mobile games Hill Climb Racing and Hill Climb Racing 2. With a new CEO, Celine Pasula appointed last year, Fingersoft is cruising on a growth track that allows them to be agile and develop several projects simultaneously, seizing promising opportunities as they appear — yet not abandoning the hugely popular Hill Climb Racing IP either.

“We are at a very interesting stage as a company, and moving in the right direction. The success from big hit games lays a good foundation upon which we can build new things — of course respecting what we have already. Developers can choose their own projects and show off their skills, and they get to build products they fully believe in. The development team formed jointly by Fingersoft and Empires Not Vampires’ experts has been very enthusiastic about this new project, and hopefully that spark will also be conveyed from the game. The collaboration has gone well and it will be interesting to see what we can achieve together,” says Celine Pasula.

Fingersoft’s turnover in the last fiscal year (2019) was €19.5 million. Headquartered in Oulu, Finland, the company employs more than 70 people.
